Passport processing backlog - we can help!!! 7/18/2007 8:30:49 AM Link | | Add comment Well, we tried to avoid this problem by planning ahead but it still happened. The U.S. State Department has a backlog of over 500,000 passports in processing, BUT you can still travel to the Caribbean, Mexico, and Canada. The rules have been relaxed for travel through Sept 30th. Just show a receipt that your passport application has been submitted and you can travel to the Caribbean and Mexico with just a photo ID (drivers license). Passports are still required to all other overseas destinations. Always ask if your destination requires other documents. Stay tuned for updates or ask one of our agents. |
